La
Iguana Blues Band is a group that gives tribute
to the best of Blues and Rock of all times.
It was formed in 1991 out of a jam session in a pub in Las Palmas
called Pub La Iguana where the name was derived.
With the style of the Canadian singer/guitarist Dave O'Connor
the group started with personalized versions by Blues and Rock Groups
such as Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Golden Earring, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, etc.
They also included an abundance of their own original material within the same spectrum.
Within the years they have given many concerts throughout all of the Canary Islands,
including International Blues Festivals, Biker Meetings, Clubs, live television,
radio interviews with some unplugged and numerous newspaper interviews.
They did various tours to Spain for concerts in Madrid such as The "Honky Tonk" ,
in Ciudad Real and Benicássim etc.
The group consists of well seasoned musicians with years of experience under their belts
and are based on the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.
