ESTERLICH
At the age of 16 in Mallorca, becoming
interested in the world of music, his parents bought him and electric
bass where he began to study. With this became a member of the group
“ LORD BYRON”, which was a Hard Rock band covering Mallorcas
musical styles with the guitarist José Estela being the leader
of the band.
It wasn’t long before he became interested in and studying other
styles of music such as reggae, international pop music, Spanish pop
rock and from there forming a part of with the groups “ DIRECCIÓN
PROHIBIDA & EL NOMBRE DEL PADRE ”. Thanks to the guidance
of manager RAMON CABRINETTI, toured all the Balearic Islands and part
of the mainland Spain, obtaining prizes in contests like POP ROCK de
Palma (cd edition of CARTAS MARCADAS).

Alter
a few years of studying with various teachers decided to dive into the
world of Jazz. Studying with the prestigious bass professor FERNANDO CALVO,
of Mallorca, where a great part of his Jazz influence was formed.
Having the opportunity to be part of the band LOWLAND along side of the
well-known Balearic guitarist/composer JAUME TUGORES, whom he worked with
for about a year.
Moving to a Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, meet the bass professor
CARLOS MOMPEÓ “MOMPY”, whom he still keeps taking lessons
studying modern harmony and technique.
Joined the band La IGUANA BLUES BAND after knowing the charismatic Canadian
singer/guitarist DAVE O’CONNOR, in which he still keeps playing
along side to this day.
Also part of a Jazz group with the drummer from La IGUANA BLUES BAND,
WOLLE ARETZ, who is also very well known for his jazz drumming style and
his percussion playing.
At present moment keeps up with his classes of electric bass, harmony
and studying piano.
Content with his projects, and shall it be said……. that what
has not been written was simple not worth the trouble.
